i managed to get my fella back from livid too unhappy quite easily but hes been stuck unhappy all season despite getting more football

WHat if...

Instead of hating the GM, they hated the COACH.

Then GMs would not be penalized at all, or perhaps to a far lesser degree, and the FA market would be more about contract money than resentments for us :)
Keep the coach... Stays Livid.
Switch coach.. Flips to Neutral.
So sayeth Prime Time himself.

Of course, this would apply to players on the current roster as well.
