The draft is underway!

This league has just begun! Because this is a new league, it will be a few days before the allocation draft begins (the countdown timer above shows when the first pick will fire). This is a great time to get a team as you will be able to build it from scratch! If you don't want to wait for the draft, though, check to see if there is a team in an established league that you can take over.

NOTE: As of the last sim, this league was under the minimum 20% capacity. Invite your friends to join MyFootballNow to keep this league alive! Then send them to this league to become the owner of a team! The league will expire at 8/01/2025 8:00 am.

Design a Fake Punt Play

Much has been said about the punt block exploit. An elegant way to plug this hole would be to allow us to fake a punt. A play that we could choose could be included in gameplanning and rules. In addition, we could set them up game by game in order to burn that annoying punt blocker.

I'd prefer to see overrides fixed, or shield punts first, but yes this needs to happen.

I wasn't clear about what the play should look like. I was thinking about a direct snap to the up man, who would then run for the first down. The speedy punt blockers would get blown right off the line. It was good to introduce the exploit, but also introduce the RL reason that nobody does this.

If the overrides were fixed wings could help block for the fake as well.

Shield punts are the other reason punt blocks don't happen often (for when someone figures out how to bust the fake). That's when you put three on the line, five in the backfield, two bullets, and just engage the rushers as they come in.
