The draft is underway!

This league has just begun! Because this is a new league, it will be a few days before the allocation draft begins (the countdown timer above shows when the first pick will fire). This is a great time to get a team as you will be able to build it from scratch! If you don't want to wait for the draft, though, check to see if there is a team in an established league that you can take over.

NOTE: As of the last sim, this league was under the minimum 20% capacity. Invite your friends to join MyFootballNow to keep this league alive! Then send them to this league to become the owner of a team! The league will expire at 8/01/2025 8:00 am.

Trading Draftees

I think the contract for a drafted player should not become effective until their first training camp.

For example:

I draft a player at 1.10 and trade him for the player drafted at 1.12, plus another pick (this is all done during the draft).

Currently both teams would have to eat the signing bonus for both drafted players.

In actuality this is more like the real life equivalent of trading the "draft rights" for that player, since they would not have signed a contract while the draft is still going on.
