firing and hiring coaches

I think we should be allowed to hire and fire coaching staff throughout the season just like college and the NFL

You can.
You just can't steal one away from another team except during the free agency period.

Just offer a new contract to another free coach and he will replace your current coach if hired. Or you can even promote a position coach you already have to HC,OC or DC
