The draft is underway!

Click here to go to your war room, or visit the war room item in the draft menu.

This league has just begun! Because this is a new league, it will be a few days before the allocation draft begins (the countdown timer above shows when the first pick will fire). This is a great time to get a team as you will be able to build it from scratch! If you don't want to wait for the draft, though, check to see if there is a team in an established league that you can take over.

NOTE: As of the last sim, this league was under the minimum 20% capacity. Invite your friends to join MyFootballNow to keep this league alive! Then send them to this league to become the owner of a team! The league will expire at 8/01/2025 8:00 am.

Multiple positions

If, in the depth chart, I put a MLB in the WLB and SLB positions in supplement to his one (to train him as a versatile backup), will he learn slower than a MLB who "just" learns his position? Does it depend on intelligence ( an intelligent player being more versatile)? Thanks!

Yes and yes - the assigned position is what the player practices at during the week so they advance in their experience even without playing time, but they do gain experience for each play they are on the field at a position during a game, so they do learn if they are playing out of position. The higher their intelligence, the faster they learn the position.

When you say "assigned position" you thus mean the positions the player is allocated to on the depth chart? And if so, is there any cutoff limit, ie would a player 7th on the depth chart for a position still improve there?

No, the position the player is assigned to - which shows up next to their name and is changed with the "Change Pos/#" dialog on the player page. Each player can only be assigned to a single position.

If you change a players position you get this message....

Change Position

A player's assigned position determines what areas he works on during practice, regardless of where he might be in the depth chart. Also, when you let your coaches set your depth chart, he will only place players into the depth chart where their position matches. Below you will see the current ratings for each position for this player. Choose a position from the list below to assign this player to the new position
