If you don't want to wait for the draft, though, check to see if there is a team in an established league that you can take over.

Inactive Owners

Just curious, do inactive owner just get released at the in of the season or is there a certain amount of days then they get released?

If an owner is inactive for 21 days they are removed as an owner automatically.
