End of season stage

I was just wondering if during the stage, does the salary cap change to next years salary cap?

For example:
End of Season 2018 If we try to resign players does it still use the 2018 salary cap or 2019

The salary cap is updated during the end of season stage, the first stage you can offer contracts with the new salary cap is the first free agency stage of the next year.
