This is true. My HB that hadn't fumbled but maybe 3 times all season fumbled 5 times in the 1st quarter. I must say I was yeling at my monitor, lol.

I think fumbles have been on the rise in most leagues the past season or 2.

I've experienced this as well, though I haven't looked at any of the data to see where it stands in relation to NFL averages.
