If San Fran or Dallas lose, and St Louis wins, seems to me they make the playoffs?

I think you might be right, I'll see if I can figure out why the algorithm thinks St Louis is eliminated already.

My guess is that the tie game is throwing it off.

I see that you did make the playoffs after all - clearly the tie is throwing off the elimination algorithm.
