Contract Offers

I offered 13 contracts in my league. I had 18 million in cap space for my current season and 90 million for next season when I did it. My pending contracts page showed that the contracts offered would take me down to 3 million in the current season and 30 million for next season. However, when we advanced and the contracts were all signed it did reduce my cap for next year to 30 million but I still have 18 million for this season. What is going on here?
