The draft is underway!

This league has just begun! Because this is a new league, it will be a few days before the allocation draft begins (the countdown timer above shows when the first pick will fire). This is a great time to get a team as you will be able to build it from scratch! If you don't want to wait for the draft, though, check to see if there is a team in an established league that you can take over.

NOTE: As of the last sim, this league was under the minimum 20% capacity. Invite your friends to join MyFootballNow to keep this league alive! Then send them to this league to become the owner of a team! The league will expire at 8/01/2025 8:00 am.

Player Development / Mentors

I've been giving this area some thought based on my FOF experience. I was never a huge fan of mentors in that game since most were past their prime and it required occupying roster spots just for those.

I would think however that if a 61/72 WR was on a team with another pair of WRs rated 92/92 in his 3rd year, and 87/89 in his 4th year that just practicing with those guys and observing them would make him better no matter how good (or bad in this case) the WR coach was.

On this topic, in a situation like this does a bad WR coach actually end up being detrimental in your mathematical modeling? Can he make a WR worse if his ratings are much lower?

No, he simply will slow his development.

I've been working on the player development logic this weekend, hope to be able to push an updated today that will help. Players haven't been developing at an acceptable rate, imo.

And it's your opinion that matters I suppose ;)
