This league has just begun! Because this is a new league, it will be a few days before the allocation draft begins (the countdown timer above shows when the first pick will fire). This is a great time to get a team as you will be able to build it from scratch! If you don't want to wait for the draft, though, check to see if there is a team in an established league that you can take over.

NOTE: As of the last sim, this league was under the minimum 20% capacity. Invite your friends to join MyFootballNow to keep this league alive! Then send them to this league to become the owner of a team! The league will expire at 8/01/2025 8:00 am.

Promoting Position Coaches

So, is it possible to promote a position coach to a coordinator spot without first replacing the position coach? I thought I had promoted, if fact it made me adjust his salary to the coordinator range and then when the sim ran, he was signed back at his old position but at the higher salary. Am I just being a knucklehead (most likely) or do the game mechanics not allow this? Thnaks!

When you hire him for the coordinator position, make sure the position window shows the right position that you are hiring him for(off or def coordinator) in the contract offering screen. If that position is already filled, it will fire the existing coach and hire the one you just offered. Sounds like you might have forgot to change the position drop down window.

I think you can offer another coach to fill the position that is about to be vacated at the same time you promote the existing coach to coordinator.

I might have explained that clear as mud. :)

Thanks Beer. I suspect that you may be right about changing the position. Its curious why it had me increase his salary to the coordinator range if it wasn't set for the coordinator position. Now I am capped on the coached salary. I guess I'll see how much difference it makes to be without a coach! lol
