This league has just begun! Because this is a new league, it will be a few days before the allocation draft begins (the countdown timer above shows when the first pick will fire). This is a great time to get a team as you will be able to build it from scratch! If you don't want to wait for the draft, though, check to see if there is a team in an established league that you can take over.

NOTE: As of the last sim, this league was under the minimum 20% capacity. Invite your friends to join MyFootballNow to keep this league alive! Then send them to this league to become the owner of a team! The league will expire at 8/01/2025 8:00 am.

Coach styles

Having looked at the coaches for my team I find that most of them aren't suited to the style I want to play but they are generally fairly high attribute wise. I certainly can't find higher rated available coaches.

So my questions are am I better off with the current coaches or should I try lower rated ones with the style to suit the way I want my offense and defense to play? How much will the difference in styles affect my teams performance?

Styles are only used to determine the plays you have available in your playbook. There is a reasonable amount of crossover in the styles, but a run-based offensive coach will have more variety of running plays and less variety of passing plays.

Also note that the style of your playbook is determined by your Head Coach - the styles for coordinators and position coaches have no effect and are visible only so that you can see that info when looking for a new head coach to poach from another team.

I personally choose by rating and only use the styles as a tiebreaker if two head coach candidates are close together in rating. You can still have a pass-heavy game plan using a run heavy playbook, you just have fewer pass plays to choose from.

Thanks. That makes sense now.

Bit odd that you can't hire a Secondary coach in pass focused 3-4. Also Heavy Blitzing 3-4 is missing.
