The draft is underway!

This league has just begun! Because this is a new league, it will be a few days before the allocation draft begins (the countdown timer above shows when the first pick will fire). This is a great time to get a team as you will be able to build it from scratch! If you don't want to wait for the draft, though, check to see if there is a team in an established league that you can take over.

NOTE: As of the last sim, this league was under the minimum 20% capacity. Invite your friends to join MyFootballNow to keep this league alive! Then send them to this league to become the owner of a team! The league will expire at 8/01/2025 8:00 am.

dead cap...

I am in the midst of a new league draft. (47). my power went out and I accidentally drafted more WR than I wanted at the time. I traded away one of them for a later draft pick. Now I show as having dead cap for next year. Wouldn't the acquiring team assume the salary/bonus? Will my extra pick utilize the cap money?

You will always assume the bonus portion of any contract you sign a player to. If you trade or release a player you take a dead cap hit for the current season for their bonus, and you pay the rest of the bonus for future seasons the next season. The bonus portion of the contract is guaranteed.

Yeah that's pretty rough. On the flip side you're in really good shape when it comes to the cap. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Also if you sign older players to long term contracts and they retire you will get hit with the bonus money in the next seasons cap as well. Its why its a gamble signing older vets early on in the new league drafts
